A: All right, Druid, where did you put him?
D: What? Put who, A?
A: You know who I’m talking about.
D: Alas, my ability to read your confounding mind is limited.
A: Well, since this week’s podcast, Episode X, is titled The Case of the Missing Magneto (go on, give it a listen. We can wait)…
D: What does that have to do with me?

A: I heard you, in the back of my head while I had my movie marathon. Every time Michael Fassbender showed up on screen, you whispered, “that one.”
D: And considering how many Fassbender movies you watched …
A: Hey now, that was research. After the first time I heard you, I had to make sure you were right.
D: And the verdict?
A: I think I might need to watch some more of his movies…
D: Sure you do, A. But let’s get back to this vicious accusation you’ve thrown at my head. Why would I steal Magneto – and who’s to say it would be Fassbender’s Magneto I would steal?
A: Actually, both would be splendid as you, but I suppose the accusation may have been wishful thinking?
D: Wishful thinking? You are a devious woman, A.
A: Thank you. You have to admit it might be preferable to trying to convince academy-recognized actors to narrate your story, while only taking a cut of the royalties on every audio book sold.
D: I admit nothing, A. My brilliance should be enough to capture their attention.
A: Uh huh. Right. Let me just work that into the proposal, yeah?
D: Make it so, A.
A: Um, wrong X-Man – and wrong series–
D: These are pointless details, A. In the meantime, everyone ought to run over to Green Embers Recommends for Episode 10 of the Not-So-Shocking News Dialogues.
A: Indeed – thanks for reading everyone!
Ha, I love it “Make it so!” Yep, definitely wrong series! Michael Fassbender would make a great voice for D. But, I’ll admit, I still have a liking for Ewan McGregor. Nothing can beat a voice with an English accent!

I know, I’m partial to Ewan too, although Fassbender has an Irish accent really, so he works too! Of course, there are a lot more podcasts planned, so D has a lot of people to try and find to be his voice actor!

Let me know if you want some company in watching those Fassbender movies 😉 Are you familiar with Richard Armitage (the actor, not the political a-hole). You must be … he played Thorin Oakenshield. He’s actually over 6 feet tall and he has a most wonderful voice. I had a serious crush on him after watching him in the BBC production of North and South 🙂

Sooooooo… confession time: Richard Armitage is D. If ever there were an actor who I would pick to play and/or voice D, it would be Armitage, because the moment I saw him on the big screen as Thorin I “saw” D (it’s the voice, and the eyes). Rewriting the book for real came shortly afterward. His Thorin blew me away, and I know I’m going to cry at the last movie (nearly did so when I read the book right before Hobbit 1 came out). He was the only thing watchable in Robin Hood, and North and South was amazing. I wish I could go to London and watch him in the Crucible at the Old Vic – I’ve heard it’s ridiculously good. He’s in a movie that’s in theaters right now – tornado disaster movie – and I’m tempted to go, even though it’s just not my kind of film!

I heard about the tornado movie. Not my kind of movie either, but Armitage is definitely my kind of actor 😉

Woohoo! Hmm, I could get behind Fassbender as D’s voice… I could even see him playing D in the movie (I probably shouldn’t give him ideas), just needs darker hair.

Oh dear. That could get crazy (although, I’d love to consult on that movie!)
